What happens in a chrome reveal

The chrome look extrudes your logo into a solid object with a mirror finish. It swings in from the side, bright light strips slide across the metal, and the last second is a clean hold. That still ending gives you a tidy frame to cut from, so the same clip can open a video or close it before the end screen.

Getting a good chrome finish

  • Polish is this look's intensity slider. Higher gives a sharp mirror; lower gives a softer, satin metal.
  • Primary colour tints the metal. Pale blues and greys stay close to classic chrome; a stronger colour gives tinted metal.
  • Bevel rounds the edges where the light strip catches. If your logo has thin lines, try a lower bevel so the shapes stay crisp.
  • Background: a dark colour makes the reflections and the sweep easier to see.

Length, format and sound

Pick 6 seconds if you want the swing and the hold to breathe, or 4 seconds for a quick sting before your content. Use 16:9 for a YouTube intro and 9:16 for Shorts or Reels. The Bright whoosh sound suits the moving light; leave sound off if your video already has music.

The free export is a 720p MP4 with a small watermark. Personal removes it and goes up to 1080p; Pro adds 4K and a transparent PNG-frame ZIP for laying the metal logo over your own footage in an editor.

Chrome Logo Reveal: questions

Can the chrome be blue, black or another colour?

Yes. Primary colour tints the metal, so pale tones look like classic chrome and stronger colours give tinted metal. If you want warm gold with glitter, the Gold Logo Reveal look is made for that.

Can I keep my logo's own colours?

If your logo has up to 16 flat colours, tick Keep original colours. Each part keeps its own colour and still gets the look's glossy finish. A smooth gradient becomes its average colour; photos are shown on a 3D plate instead.

Does it work as an outro?

Yes. The last second is a still hold, so one exported clip can sit at the start of a video, at the end, or both.

How long does the export take?

It renders frame by frame on your own device. A 6-second 720p MP4 takes about a second on a typical desktop; 1080p, 4K and 60 fps take longer.
